New bird on the horizon.
Saturday I dropped by Mike Fisher's to see if I could get some body tubes cut and slotted. He cut the tubes for the Excel bash and the coupler tube on the spot. I also picked up some parachutes for Mikki's rockets. Brenda makes some really fine chutes!
I confirmed my order for an ARTS flight computer as well. He will be placing the order fairly soon so it will be in for fitting into the Excel in plenty of time.
Sunday I dry fitted all the parts to the Excel and, after trimming the fins a bit, it stacked just fine! Tomorrow I will start glueing components together. Lots of work to do on the electronis bay and I still need to cut a couple of bulkheads. This one should be ready for Brothers in October.
I don't know how soon I will get the Stealth tubes back, but it should be in plenty of time for the launch as well.
Now I need to get plugged forward closures for both 38mma and 54mm.
